TAP magazine is a new pan–African magazine founded out of a need to counter the single narrative that Africa and Africans are often portrayed with in global media. We tell African stories from an African perspective and our mission is to rebrand Africa. Positively. Actively.
TAP Magazine aims to expand the scope and narrative focus with which the lives, ambitions and accomplishments of African people are depicted. Thus, we help present one of the world‘s most vibrant, dynamic and historically complex regions in a way that preserves its nuance, humanity and global significance.
Over the last two years, TAP has built a global network of accomplished and conscientious collaborators and strategic partners whose creativity, vision and social consciousness stretch across the entire world. For instance, TAP is an official media partner of the annual African Development Conference at Harvard University, Desautels African Business Initiative at McGill University, Manyatta Network and the East African Diasporic Business Council, among other organizations.
Print magazines are distributed across East African embassies in North America, across retail supermarkets in East Africa and they are also carried in Uber partner cars in East Africa. TAP is on course to become the benchmark Africa’s storyteller. Our goal is to reach and impact the lives of over 500 Million Africans in the next 5 years.
