Black Star Cry; A poem

Black Star Cry

Where is my people? Where is my brother?

Never with like, I'm always the other.

Always with owners, never with lover.

Love is not money, why don't we bother?

Where is my people? Where is my land?

Never am greeted, nor am I planned.

Always must meet request and demand.

Am I machine, mannequin, or man?

Where is my people? Where is my friend?

Always offend when I defend.

Free as a slave, so I depend

On some who make hard being different.

Make me a captain,bring me a fleet;

Seas and trees of concrete I must flee.

Fish and sheep no more shall I meet

The path to redemption is under my feet.
